Peer Review Policy
Manuscripts submitted to Journal of Intelligent Systems and Future Computing (JISFC) undergo an initial editorial screening by the Editor-in-Chief to assess suitability, scope fit, and adherence to submission guidelines, along with a similarity check using iThenticate. Manuscripts that pass this screening proceed to double-anonymous peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are withheld from one another throughout the review process, consistent with COPE and ICMJE recommendations for editorial independence and fairness.
Each manuscript is evaluated by a minimum of two independent reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise. Reviewers assess the manuscript for originality, scientific/technical soundness, methodological rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field, and provide a recommendation of: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewer recommendations, in consultation with the editorial board where necessary. The typical peer review process takes 16–18 weeks from submission to first editorial decision.
Reviewers are required to declare any conflicts of interest and to decline review of any manuscript where one exists, in accordance with the journal's Conflict of Interest Policy. All reviewer identities, comments, and manuscript content are treated as strictly confidential throughout the process.
Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, and are made independently of any commercial, financial, or personal considerations.
