Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Statement
Journal of Intelligent Systems and Future Computing (JISFC) is committed to fostering a scholarly community that is diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible to researchers regardless of geography, institutional affiliation, career stage, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic background.
Editorial and Peer Review Practices
- Manuscripts are evaluated solely on scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope, without regard to the author's personal characteristics, institutional prestige, or country of origin.
- JISFC does not charge an Article Processing Charge, removing a significant financial barrier to publication for researchers from under-resourced institutions and regions.
- JISFC actively seeks to build an editorial board and reviewer pool that reflects a diversity of geography, career stage, gender, and areas of expertise within intelligent systems and computing.
Accessibility
JISFC is committed to making its published content and website as accessible as possible to readers with disabilities, including:
- Publishing articles in formats compatible with screen readers and assistive technologies where feasible.
- Encouraging authors to provide descriptive alt-text for figures and images where practical.
- Working to ensure the journal's website follows recognized web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG guidelines) as the platform develops.
Inclusive Language and Content
JISFC encourages authors to use inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory language throughout their manuscripts, and to avoid unnecessary or stereotyping references to race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics unless directly relevant to the research.
Reporting Concerns
Authors, reviewers, or readers who experience or observe behavior inconsistent with this statement — including discriminatory treatment, bias in the editorial or review process, or accessibility barriers — are encouraged to contact the editorial office at editor@jisfc.com. Such concerns will be handled in accordance with the journal's Complaints and Appeals Policy.
Ongoing Commitment
JISFC recognizes that fostering genuine diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility is an ongoing effort. The journal welcomes feedback from its community on how to improve in this area.
